Deputy Chief James Pitzer has been a member of Manhasset-Lakeville F.D. Company 4 since June 7th, 1993.

Deputy Chief Pitzer served as Company Secretary from March 1997-1999, and was elected 2nd Lieutenant in March 1999. He served as Company 4's Captain from March 2003-2005. On August 3rd, 2006, Jimmy was elected 4th Deputy Chief of the M-LFD.

Throughout his years of service with Company 4, Jimmy has always been an active member, participating on many committees including Department Truck and Building and Drivers Training. Most recently, Jimmy was on the committee that helped design the Department's new twin 2006 KME pumpers.

Deputy Chief Pitzer is a full-time firefighter with the New York City Fire Department and works in Queens.

Deputy Chief Pitzer was married in March 2007 to his wife Julie, and they have one daughter, Falon, who was born in April 2010.
