Company #1 of the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department is located on Bayview Avenue in Manhasset. Company #1 protects the communities of Manhasset, Plandome Heights, Flower Hill, Munsey Park, Strathmore and North Hills. The Company’s current apparatus includes Engine 8711, Engine 8712 and Rescue 8713.
Company #1’s specialty piece of apparatus, Rescue 8713, responds to all confined-space, high-angle, technical and water rescue incidents through the entire district. Rescue 8713 also responds mutual aid to neighboring departments as a F.A.S.T. (Firefighter Assist and Search Team).
Company #1 responds to over 550 incidents yearly.
