| M-LFD Company #4 is one of the two Ladder
Companies of the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department.
The firehouse, which is located on Northern Boulevard
in Great Neck, was erected in 1937, and is the home of
Tower Ladder 8744, Ladder
8743, and Engine 8740.
Company #4's response area consists of the Villages
of Russell Gardens, University Gardens, Lake Success,
Thomaston and portions of the unincorporated areas of
Great Neck. Company #4 responds to over 500 calls a
year, and is prided on having one of the quickest response
times in the 8th Battalion.
In September of 2003, Company #4's firehouse underwent
major re-construction, which included the addition of
a third apparatus bay, a new officer’s room, gym,
kitchen, and increased parking areas.

| In 2009, for the first time ever in the history of M-LFD Co. #4, seven members wear "white hats". White hats are only worn by Department Officers and/or Company Captains.
