At around 1030
hours on Friday, February 23rd, Manhasset-Lakeville Companies
4, 5 and the Ambulance Unit responded to a motor vehicle
accident at the intersection of Marcus Avenue and New
Hyde Park Road.
Heavy Rescue 8730, Rescue 8757 and Ambulance 8769 responded
to the call and found a car that had been involved in
a head-on collision with an eighteen-wheeler with no entrapment.
A8769 transported the aided to North Shore University
Hospital, while fire crews applied speedy-dry to the involved
roadway.
While responding to this call, Engine 8740 was redirected
to 6 Ohio Drive in the Lake Success Quadrangle for a commercial
automatic alarm. Captain 5 acting 8705 also responded
to the scene. |
