In Front of 1111 Marcus Avenue

M-LFD Company #5 & Ambulance Unit

 

On Thursday, May 3rd, 2007 at 1824 hours, M-LFD Company #5 and the Ambulance Unit were toned out to in front of 1111 Marcus Avenue (iPark) for a reported motor vehicle accident with a motorcyclist struck. Deputy Chiefs Pitzer (8704) and Dugger (8703) both responded within a minute of receiving the alarm.

Once units arrived on the scene, they were faced with a head-on motor vehicle accident involving one car and one motorcycle. The motorcyclist was thrown over twenty feet on impact, breaking the helmet they were wearing and suffered multiple broken bones and a possible skull fracture. M-LFD Ambulance 8769 transported two occupants of the car involved, while NCPD Ambulance 2356 transported the motorcyclist.

M-LFD units on scene included Ambulance 8769, EMS Fly Car 8799, Rescue 8757 and Engine 8758. Also on the scene were NCPD Ambulances 2356 and 2366, as well as multiple NCPD and LSPD patrol cars. All units were placed on a Signal 13 by DC8703 at 1846 hours.
