On Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 at 1511 hours, M-LFD Company #3 and the Ambulance Unit were toned out to in front of 900 Northern Boulevard for a reported motor vehicle accident with overturn and entrapment.

Ambulance 8769 was the first unit on the scene and Ambulance Unit 2nd Lieutenant Genser advised dispatch of a two car accident with one of the vehicles on its side un-stabilized and that one victim would need to be extricated. At this time the dispatcher requested that Rescue 8757, who was taking up from another alarm, respond to the accident on Northern Boulevard. Heavy Rescue 8730 was on the road within minutes of receiving the alarm and was updated on the status of the unstable vehicle involved in the accident.

Upon their arrival, the crew of HR8730 first stabilized the vehicle and then put their Hurst cutter tool into action to remove the roof of the vehicle. Once the roof was removed, the crew of A8769 removed the victim from the vehicle. All units were released from the scene by Captain 4 within thirty minutes. Other units on the scene included Engine 8735, as well as multiple NCPD patrol cars.
