On
Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 at 1511 hours, M-LFD Company #3
and the Ambulance Unit were toned out to in front of 900
Northern Boulevard for a reported motor vehicle accident
with overturn and entrapment.
Ambulance 8769 was the first unit on the scene and Ambulance
Unit 2nd Lieutenant Genser advised dispatch of a two car
accident with one of the vehicles on its side un-stabilized
and that one victim would need to be extricated. At this
time the dispatcher requested that Rescue 8757, who was
taking up from another alarm, respond to the accident
on Northern Boulevard. Heavy Rescue 8730 was on the road
within minutes of receiving the alarm and was updated
on the status of the unstable vehicle involved in the
accident.
Upon their arrival, the crew of HR8730 first stabilized
the vehicle and then put their Hurst cutter tool into
action to remove the roof of the vehicle. Once the roof
was removed, the crew of A8769 removed the victim from
the vehicle. All units were released from the scene by
Captain 4 within thirty minutes. Other units on the scene
included Engine 8735, as well as multiple NCPD patrol
cars. |
