On
Monday, May 21st, 2007 at 0616 hours, M-LFD Co. #4 Ex-Captain
and Manhasset-Lakeville Fire District Supervisor Tim Gould,
witnessed a motor vehicle accident at the intersection
of Lakeville Road and Lake Road. A car crossed the double
yellow line on Lakeville Road and hit a pick-up truck
in the rear tire, which caused the pick-up truck to flip
over on to its side. Ex-Captain/Supervisor Gould immediately
radioed the accident into dispatch and began aiding in
the removal of the pick-up truck driver.
Heavy Rescue 8730, Engine 8735, Engine 8756 and Ambulances
8767 and 8769 responded to the accident, as well as Chief
of Department O’Malley (8702) and Deputy Chiefs
Uttaro (8705) and Dugger (8703). Engine 8756 extinguished
a small fire in the pick-up trucks’ engine compartment,
while the crews from Heavy Rescue 8730 and Engine 8735
stabilized and up-righted the pick-up truck.
All injuries from the accident were minor and the patients
were transported by A8767. All units were released from
the scene at 0652 hours. |
