| On Monday, June
4th, 2007 at around 1630 hours, M-LFD Companies 3, 5 and
the Ambulance Unit were toned out for a motor vehicle accident
with possible entrapment on the Northern State Parkway,
Westbound in the vicinity of Shelter Rock Road. Chief of
Department O'Malley (8702), Deputy Chiefs Uttaro (8705),
Dugger (8703), Pitzer (8704), Heavy Rescue 8730, Rescue
8757 and Ambulance 8769 all responded within minutes of
the alarm.
A8769 was the first unit to arrive on scene and 2nd Lieutenant
6 advised all units that there was one critically injured
patient trapped in the auto. The critical aided was rapidly
extricated and transported to North Shore University Hospital
(NSUH) by NCPD A2356. A8769 transported a minor aided
to NSUH and fire units handled a spill in the roadway.
Manhasset Command released all units at 1700.
Upon clearing from NSUH, A8769 was detailed to a pediatric
seizure in Zone 1. |
