On Sunday, November
26th, 2006, the members of M-LFD Company #1 and the Ambulance
Unit were presented with a training scenario where a worker
that had fallen off of a large parking structure and was
trapped with multiple fractures. The members of
Company #1 set up a system for rigging and hauling, while
EMT’s Genser, Newman and Carroll rappelled down
to the patient. Once with the patient, the members
of the Ambulance Unit fully immobilized the patient, and
then secured a backboard to the stokes basket in order
for the patient to be hauled to the top of the structure
by the members of Company #1. |
