Michael Farrone - 8705

Farrone 

Chief Michael Farrone has been a member of Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department Company #5 since September 12th, 1985.

Chief Farrone was elected 2nd Lieutenant of Company #5 in March 1987 and rose through the ranks and served as Captain from 1996-1998. Mike served as Captain a second time from March 2003-2006. Mike was elected to the position of 4th Deputy Chief on April 8th, 2010.  Chief Farrone was sworn-in as Chief of Department on April 3rd, 2014 at Company #5's firehouse. Chief Farrone was once again elected to the position of 4th Deputy Chief in April, 2019, and was sworn-in as Chief of Department in April, 2023.

Chief Farrone has always been an active member of the department and currently serves as the Chairman for both Fire Prevention and Department Radio. He has been an EMT-CC since 1989 and a New York State Hazardous Materials Technician since 1999.

Chief Farrone served as a Police Officer with the New York City Police Department (NYPD) for over twenty years and retired as a Sergeant in 2010.

Chief Farrone has been married to his wife Mary for over twenty years and has two daughters; Carly and Shelby.

One of Chief Farrone's two proudest moments in the fire service was when he was named the New York State Firefighter of the Year in 2005 and also when his oldest daughter, Carly, followed in his footsteps and joined M-LFD Company #5 in early 2010, and is currently an Ex-Captain of Company # 5.

On April 6, 2017 Michael Rice was elected as 4th Deputy Chief and was sworn in as Chief of Department on April 8, 2021.  After completing his term on April 7, 2022, Chief Rice was re-elected to the position of 4th Deputy Chief.

Joseph Antonelli - 8704

Deputy Chief Joseph Antonelli joined the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department and Company #4 in November of 2009. He was elected as Company 4's 2nd Lieutenant in 2015. He then served as 1st Lieutenant from 2017 to 2019 and as Captain from 2019 to June of 2020 when he was elected 4th Deputy Chief.

Due to an injury sustained by the Chief of Department at the time, Joe served as "8704C" or "radio liasion" from November 2019-June 2020 to give the four deputy chiefs a hand with scene management.

Deputy Chief Antonelli is the biggest New York Yankees and New York Giants fan in the department.

Gregory Weisburd - 8702
Weisburd

Chief Weisburd was elected Chief of Department in April, 2022 after serving the previous four years as a Deputy Chief.  In April 2023, Chief Weisburd was re-elected to the position of 4th Deputy Chief.
